Asheville City Council Forum: LGBTQ Legal and Lived Equality

Join us for a city council forum on LGBTQ issues in Asheville. This event is cosponsored by Tranzmission, Blue Ridge Pride Center, Western North Carolina AIDS Project (WNCAP) and the Campaign for Southern Equality.

Learn more about the final 6 candidates running for city council and their policy positions specific to LGBTQ legal and lived equality in Asheville. 

The groups hosting are not endorsing any candidates per our 501c3 status. We are non-partisan and focused on issue-based advocacy. 

*Childcare will be provided, please RSVP with your number of kiddos.*

Friendship Hall at the UCC Church is accessible and all are welcome. Parking on Oak and Woodfin Streets is free after 6 p.m.

Spring Plant Sale at Vance Elementary

Prepare to celebrate the peak of Spring and kick off the growing season at Vance! We are extending the hours of the plant sale this year: from 8am- 7pm. Plan on getting your plants to start your garden from us! We will have annual veggie and herb starts grown by Vance students, annuals and perennials from First Step Farm, and assorted perennials donated by our community of gardeners.

Celebration of Champions is ACSF’s signature annual event to raise funds for cornerstone programs including: professional development opportunities for teachers, IRL (In Real Life) after-school program, TAPAS (Teaching Artists Presenting in Asheville Schools), and the Equity Fund.
