Join us for our May meeting to get motivated and inspired to continue working for economic and racial justice, equal rights for all, protection of the environment and our climate, and all of the important causes you are fighting for! 

Our speaker will be Avram Friedman, one of the founders and Executive Director of The Canary Coalition, will share will us lessons about using our "people power" to effect change in local and state government. He will inpsire and educate us about how we can effectively communicate with and lobby our leaders. 

Avram has a long history of successful social and environmental activism dating to the civil rights and anti-war movements of the 1960s and the anti-nuclear movement of the 70s and 80s. He holds a degree in solar energy technology and studied political science at Hunter College in the Bronx, NY.

Avram is an accomplished, effective activist and a compelling and inspiring speaker whom you won't want to miss!
