This is a great time of year to visit local farms. The ASAP 10th Annual Farm tour (see my recent article HERE) is one way to check out a multitude of farms in our region, but many local farms open their doors to guests on a regular basis.

If you live in the Asheville area check out this multitude of Madison County Farms open to visitors. Fairview is also close by with Flying Cloud Farm offering U-pick flowers, and Hickory Nut Gap with apples and meats. Both have shopping available for those who just want to make a quick trip and have the benefit of local produce.

Whether you are shopping, learning, or simply sightseeing local farms have much to offer. Here is another link to see MORE AREA FARMS to visit.
